The International Astronomical Union (IAU) Office for Astronomy Outreach (OAO) is a central coordination point for activities taking place around the world. To support projects at a national level, IAU Office for Astronomy Outreach (OAO) is creating a network of IAU National Outreach Coordinators (NOC): volunteers with extensive experience in public outreach, acting as a single point of contact for a country. Suresh Bhattarai received his appointment as NOC Nepal by IAU for the period of Sep 1, 2018 to Aug 27, 2021.
In order to support the increasing works of IAU NOC Nepal, Manisha Dwa was nominated as the Co-NOC to support Bhattarai and the committee for the IAU OAO activities in Nepal during until August 2021.
The IAU OAO has now appointed Suresh Bhattarai and Manisha Dwa as IAU NOCs in Nepal for the year 2021-2024 in August 2021.
